Temecula, CA is a very lucky city.

Just in case you don’t follow the Mosaic Art Now blog (and if you don’t, why the heck not?) I’m posting a link to their entry that details the amazing public art Carole Choucair Oueijan has created for the City of Temecula, CA entitled The Emigrant Trail.



Although you don’t really see it from this photo, the frame is 3D – sculpted and then mosaiced with 24K gold smalti (as Carole says, “a nod to the importance of the Trail during the Gold Rush of 1849.”)
